An Elegant Trick to Remove the Cellophane from the Natto

I thought everyone removed the cellophane this way, but that doesn't seem to the case. I realized my way was unique.
Of course, you can prepare your natto as you like, but since I like it with sesame oil and salt, I've been eating it this way for some time.
Just pull a small edge of the cellophane out of the container, close the lid and pull it out! Recipe by Karian

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Open the lid of the natto as usual, and remove the accompanying sauce and Japanese mustard packets.
- 2
Slip a small section of the cellophane out of the container, close the lid, then pull out the cellophane while pressing down on the lid.
- 3
Once it is pulled out, fold it up with the sticky side inside.
- 4
Remove the lid of the natto along the perforations, then place the cellophane on top. Then, mix in the packets of sauce and Japanese mustard as usual. Then, naturally, place the empty packets on top of the lid.
- 5
Season the natto to your liking. When I get sick of the sauce and Japanese mustard, I mix in sesame oil and salt. Give it a try!

How to Keep Natto How to Keep Natto
Natto is often sold in packs of 3 or 4. It is difficult to eat it all by the "best by" date, so I use this method to keep it fresh. A lot of people don't know this method, so I thought I'd share it here.Chopped natto won't come unstuck quickly after freezing, so microwave for a short time to loosen. It is easier to mince if it is still mostly frozen. I tried a pack that was stored for 4 months, but the texture wasn't good and the grains were dehydrated. I recommend keeping the natto for up to a month. Recipe by Nanaha778 cookpad.japan -

I thought up a natto recipe that would allow me to take in lots of healthy raw veggies. Since my husband happily ate a bunch of these up as well, they should be pretty easy to eat for non-raw foodists.I substituted alfalfa for rice to make raw foodist-friendly hand-rolled natto sushi. I recommend this not only for those who enjoy raw food, but also for those who are on diets or trying to improve their eating habits. Recipe by Shiawasenashokutaku cookpad.japan -
