Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupragi flour
  2. 1/4 cupsemolina
  3. 2 tbspchopped cashew nuts
  4. 4 tbspghee
  5. 1/2 cupjaggery
  6. 1 cupwater
  7. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  8. As required Modak mould to shape the modak

Cooking Instructions

    Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add the semolina and dry roast.

    Add the ragi flour in the same pan and dry roast till you get a nutty smell.
    Transfer the roasted mixture to a bowl and let it cool.

    Now take 1 cup water in a pan and add 1/2 cup jaggery into it. Cook till all the jaggery melts. Add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder into the jaggery water.

    Now add the roasted ragi and semolina mixture in the melted jaggery and cook till all the liquid is soaked up.

    Now add the chopped cashews and 2 tbsp of ghee and let it cool.

    Once the mixture is cooled shape them in modak molds and serve.

    Healthy ragi and cashew modak are ready to Serve.
