Mendha singha/ Wheat flour biscuits

I learnt this recipe from my mother-in-law. This is a South odisha dish. In odisha Mendha means "sheep" and singha means "horn of the sheep". The shape of these biscuits looks quite similar to the horn of the sheep that's why it's called Mendha-singha. #diwali2021 #diwalispecial #diwali #diwalirecipe

Southern Biscuits Southern Biscuits
This is a recipe that my family has used since I was a little girl in Georgia. My Papa was stationed at the Marine Corps logistics base in Albany GA in the early 80's, and the church on base had made a cook book to sell at a fund raiser. My Mema (Mom), a beautiful woman and cook, bought the book. Unfortunately the book being made by volunteers long before computers ment that there were quite a few editing errors. My mother had to figure out the temperature and time for this recipe which has been added here. I can promise you that you will love these. Marines would beg my Father for a dinner invite if Mema was making her biscuits and I must say that of my friends that have had these I have received the same rock star status. theblackrosegal -

Basic Yogurt Biscuits Basic Yogurt Biscuits
I wanted to have some sausage gravy, so I made biscuits to go with it!Don't over mix after adding the yogurt. The dough may stick to your hands but that's fine. When you fold the dough over once, the biscuits will split in the middle easily. This dough is baked right away without resting. If you are reheating the biscuits, wrap them in foil and put them in the oven. You can freeze these. For 16 small 5 cm [2.0 in] diameter biscuits. Recipe by VitaminY cookpad.japan -
California Farm Double Baked Rusk Biscuits California Farm Double Baked Rusk Biscuits
Kids love these, they are big, light, fluffy, very easy to digest, and feel and taste like humongous cookies. The biscuits are dipped dry in hot drinks or buttered and served with chocolate and other sprinkles for childrens’ birthdays, and to celebrate the birth of babies, pets and animals.Fun to make, they are baked twice. Small 4 1/2” metal spring cake forms are perfect for their shape. The biscuits stay fresh for months when kept dry, so I bake two batches at once. Eight metal forms make16 biscuits, two batches make 32 biscuits. Hobby Horseman -
