Shrimp with Cumin, Lime, and Ginger

Ricardo @tallcook
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Rinse and dry shrimp with paper towels.
- 2
In a large bowl, toss together the shrimp and the cumin until well coated.
- 3
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp to the pan in one layer and cook undisturbed for 1 minute. Flip quickly and cook for about 1 minute more.
- 4
Stir in the ginger, garlic and red-pepper flakes, and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring to make sure the garlic doesn’t burn.
- 5
Add the lime juice to pan and scrape up any brown bits that have formed at the bottom of the pan. Cook until the mixture is reduced by about half, about 1 minute more. Stir in the lime zest and scatter with the cilantro.
- 6
Serve, seasoning with flaky salt.

Just a little something I threw together wanting a slightly different shrimp dish than what I've made before. Turned out great and very reminiscent of the "key west" shrimp pasta I enjoy at one of our favorite restaurants. StephieCanCook -

Shrimp Curry Shrimp Curry
Years ago I read Ruth Reichl’s entertaining book Comfort Me With Apples where I found a recipe of an American-style Curry Shrimp. It has become one of my favorite dishes ever since. Reichl’s recipe calls for 4 tablespoons of Curry Powder, but as I prefer my food mildly spicy, I replace them with 2 tablespoons of Curry Powder and 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.#GoldenApron23 #shrimp #curry #Indian #coconut #chutney #lime #dinner #supper #lunch #tasty #spicy #peanut #raisin #rice #cardamom #turmeric #cinnamon #quick #easy Ricardo -

Plump and Firm Shrimp with Ginger Mayonnaise Sauce Plump and Firm Shrimp with Ginger Mayonnaise Sauce
The izakaya my husband goes to a lot serves shrimp-mayonnaise with a sauce that contains a little ginger. I tried it and it was delicious, so I copied it.You just need a tiny bit of garlic. Maybe less than 1 gram is all you need. You need about the same amount of ginger juice too. This 'hidden flavor' is what makes the sauce so good.If you slit the back of the shrimp, they open up and look bigger than in reality. My Shrimp Ceviche My Shrimp Ceviche
Ceviche is a classic Latin American treat. This recipe is simple.Generally we make civiche with pulpo (squid), fish (Corvina aka Croaker and Drum in the US) or Snapper, conch, and shrimp.Because we can guarantee the freshness of our seafood, we "cook" it only in citrus and there is little wait time. (Except the squid )This recipe includes shrimp placed in water brought to a boil after the heat is turned off. Due to the uncertainty of US shrimp freshness from shipping, I recommend placing shrimp in the hot water to cook.Enjoy! bosquesillo -
