Ingredients

  1. 400 gramchopped lauki
  2. 1medium potato chopped
  3. 1 cupmilk at room temperature
  4. as per tasteSalt
  5. 1/4 cupchopped onion
  6. 1 Tbspminced garlic
  7. 1green chilli chopped
  8. 1 pinchsugar
  9. 1 Tspcumin seeds
  10. 1/2 Tspred chilli powder
  11. 1/2 Tspcoriander powder
  12. 1 Tbspcooking oil
  13. 1 Tspghee
  14. as requiredChopped green coriander leaves to garnish

Cooking Instructions

    In a pressure cooker, take chopped lauki, potato, tomato, salt, turmeric powder and milk. Cook for two whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.

    Heat oil on a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow to crackle.

    Then put chopped onion, garlic and green chilli. Saute on medium flame.

  4. 4

    Now cook the boiled tomato, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix well and saute.

    Add the boiled lauki and potatoes, pinch of sugar and mix well. Allow to cook till veggies dries up. Garnish with chopped green coriander leaves and serve hot the Bottlegourd Stew with chapati and steamed rice.
