Ingredients

18 to 20 mins
makes 20 to 25 servings
  1. 3/4 cupGhee
  2. 1 cupWhole Wheat Flour
  3. 3/4 cupJaggery (grated or chopped)
  4. 1/4 tspCardamom Powder
  5. 1/4 tspNutmeg Powder

Cooking Instructions

    Heat ghee on low flame in heavy bottom pan or kadhai. Add whole wheat flour, mix well and cook till it turns golden brown in colour stirring continuously. Switch off the flame.

    Add chopped or grated jaggery. Immediately mix well, add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Mix well and keep stirring till jaggery melts completely.

    Grease the plate with ghee and transfer the mixture to the plate when it's still warm. Spread it evenly with back side of katori or spoon. Make cuts in desired size and shape while it's still warm. Let it cool down completely and then gently remove with the help of a knife.

    Store in an airtight container and enjoy healthy delicious Sukhdi or Gol Papdi.
