I made this paneer recipe without onion and garlic, when observing fast. Today is 'DebosnanaPurnima of Lord Jagannath along with his brother and sister. This day comes before the Chariot Festival 🎎🥮 (Rathyatra) for nine days. This paneer recipe is easy to prepare and delicious too.

Ingredients

  1. 200 gmpaneer
  2. 1/3 cupcashews
  3. 2boiled tomatoes
  4. 1/2 Tspcoriander powder
  5. 1/2 Tspcumin powder
  6. 1/2 Tspfennel seeds
  7. 1/4 Tspblack pepper seeds
  8. 2green cardamom,2 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon
  9. 1/3 Tspcumin seeds
  10. 1 Tbspbutter/ghee
  11. 1/2 Tspdry ginger powder, 1/2 Tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  12. 1/4 Tspturmeric powder, 1/3 Tsp garam masala powder, salt as required
  13. 1/2 cupmilk, 1 Tsp crushed kasoori methi leaves, water as required for gravy

Cooking Instructions

    Chop paneer in triangular/cubes. Arrange the masala paste ingredients. Heat ghee in a wok add cumin seeds and whole garam masala.

    Saute whole garam masala on low flame till aromatic, add the cashews masala paste. Further process to add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook on low flame.

    Mix and cook on low flame till oil separates from the masala.

    Now add milk and water for the gravy. Mix well and allow to boil.

  5. 5

    Finally drop the paneer pieces into the gravy. Add crushed kasoori methi leaves and cook for a minute.

    Now the delicious curry is ready to serve.
