I am trying to prepare a tiffin box which will be healthy and tempting. I hope, kids will not stop finishing this tiffin box. I have tried easy quick recipes keeping in mind that no mother gets enough time for preparing tiffin. Sattu ke laddoo can be prepared anytime and stored for several days.

Ingredients

1 tiffin box
  1. 1 cupGhee
  2. 11/2 cupgram dal sattu
  3. 1 cupcastor sugar
  4. 1 tspCardamom seeds
  5. 2 tbspkismis
  6. 2 tbspAlmond slices
  7. 1onion
  8. 1boiled potato
  9. 1tomato
  10. 3-4bread slices
  11. 1green chili
  12. 1stem curry leaves
  13. 1 tbspsesame oil
  14. 1 tbspbutter
  15. 1 tspcummin seed
  16. 1 tspsalt
  17. 1 tspchat masala powder
  18. 1 tspBlack pepper crushed

Cooking Instructions

    Melt ghee in a kadhai. Switch off the burner. Add sattu and castor sugar.

    Prepare Almond slices, separate cardamom seeds and kismis. Add them all into the sattu. Mix thoroughly the sattu with other ingredients. Prepare laddoo (12 laddoos).

    Finely chop all the vegetables.
    In a kadhai, add oil and switch on the burner. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seed and allow it to flutter. Add onion and curry leaves and saute till light brown in color. Add rest of the vegetables and cook for 2mins more.

    Add butter. When melted, add bread slices and mix well. Here I have cut each bread slice into 9pcs. Cook till the the bread slices turn light brown. Transfer into a serving bowl and allow it to cool down to room temperature.

    Finally, kid's tiffin box is ready with bread upma, cucumber slices and sattu ke laddoo.
