  2. 1/2 tspnBlack pepper
  3. 1/2 tspnCumin seeds
  4. 2 tspnChopped ginger
  5. 6 nosCashew nuts
  6. 1/2Hing
  7. Curry leaves
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 cupRice
  10. 1/2 cupMoong dal
  11. 3 cupsWater

    In a cooker add rice, moong dal and water three whistles in high flame.

    In a kadai add ghee add pepper, cumin, ginger, cashew nuts curry leaves and hing. And then pour in the top of the Pongal and add salt mix well. Pongal ready to serve.
