Tadka Chaas/Tempered Buttermilk

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2 cupscurd
  2. As neededblack salt
  3. 1/2 teasp Black pepper powder
  4. As neededchopped coriander leaves optional
  5. 1/4 teasp grated ginger
  6. 1/2 teasp roasted cumin powder
  7. Tempering
  8. 3-4curry leaves
  9. 1 teasp ghee
  10. 1/4 teasp cumin seeds
  11. 1/4green chilli chopped optional
  12. Garnishing
  13. As neededdahi/chaas masala
  14. As neededcoriander leaves/mint leaves

Cooking Instructions

10-15 minutes
  1. 1

    Take curd in a bowl. Add chopped coriander/mint leaves, grated ginger.
    Blend with hand blender/whisk.

    Add cold water and black salt and pepper powder, cumin powder. Blend again.

  3. 3

    For tadka, heat the ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, as it crackles add curry leaves, chopped chilli. Saute for a while.

    Pour it over the prepared chaas. Mix. It's ready.

    Sprinkle some dahi/chaas masala. Serve garnished with mint/coriander leaves.
