Ingredients

11-13 servings
  1. 2 cupsrava
  2. 3 tspghee
  3. As neededsugar
  4. 3 tbspcondensed milk
  5. 1/4 tspcardamom powder
  6. 2 tsprose water/saffron water as per preferences
  7. 2 cupsmilk
  8. Few chopped roasted dry fruits optional (can skip for small kids)

Cooking Instructions

10-15 minutes

    First heat the ghee in a pan. Roast rava till it becomes light brown aromatic. If you are using roasted rava, just cook for few minutes.

    Add cardamom powder, milk. Stir and cook on low flame. As it thickening, add condensed milk, sugar and rose or saffron water. Mix well.

    Stir and cook again till it becomes thick. Cool it down slightly. Apply a little ghee and make a dough.

    Make modak by hands or using mould. Roll on grated dessicated coconut.

    Garnish with rose petals and tutti fruiti if you want. It's ready.
