Ingredients

  1. 1 tspoil
  2. For the stuffing
  3. 1 tbspghee
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1 tspginger, chopped
  6. 2green chilies chopped
  7. 1/4 tspasafetida
  8. 1/2 cupsemi boiled, fresh green peas, slightly crushed
  9. 1 tspcumin powder
  10. 1 tspcoriander powder
  11. 1/4 tspturmeric
  12. 1 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tspSalt
  14. 1 tspcashews chopped
  15. 1 tspraisins chopped
  16. For the outer covering
  17. 1 cuppaneer
  18. 1 tspcardamom powder
  19. 1/2 tspsalt
  20. 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  21. 3 tbspcorn flour mixed with 3 tbsp of water
  22. 1/4 cupcornflakes crushed

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, asafetida, green peas and mix well.

    Add rest of the ingredients for stuffing and cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes.
    Remove from flame and keep aside.

  3. 3

    Mix all the ingredients for the covering except flour and flakes and knead.
    Pinch small balls of the dough and shape them into thin base.

  4. 4

    Add mixture in between and roll into a tikki shape.
    Dip the tikkis in the flour slurry then roll in the flakes.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis till golden brown on both the sides.
