Paneer butter masala is one of the delight of most people of North India. It's a popular delicacy amongst the various Paneer cuisine. This paneer recipe is sweet among the other paneer dishes ,with a beautiful and inviting earthy aroma. Many people order dhaba style paneer butter masala without even going through the menu chart of the restaurant.
Dhaba-style paneer butter masala cooking has a rustic or earthy flavor due to the addition of three ingredients. Those are roasted Papad , Crushed Coriander seeds and crushed Kasoori Methi.

Ingredients

  1. 200 gmpaneer cubes
  2. 5tomato finely chopped
  3. 2onion chopped finely
  4. 1 tbspgrated ginger
  5. 2 tspminced garlic
  6. 2dry red Kashmiri chilli
  7. 1black cardamom
  8. 1 tspcumin seeds
  9. 1 tspcrushed coriander seeds
  10. 2green cardamom
  11. 4 cloves(laung)
  12. 1/2 tspcinnamon powder
  13. 2bay leaves
  14. 1 tspcumin powder
  15. 1 tbspcoriander powder
  16. 4black pepper corn
  17. 1 tbspcrushed kasoori methi
  18. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  19. 2 tspred chilli powder
  20. 1/2 tspsugar
  21. 1Papad roasted and crushed
  22. 1-1/2 tbspbutter
  23. 2 tspolive oil
  24. 2 tbspAmul cream

Cooking Instructions

    In a kadhai heat oil and then butter. Oil is added with butter to prevent the burning of butter when directly being added to the hot vessel. Add the cumin seeds, 2 red chilli and whole garam masala. Sauté in low flame till it becomes aromat.

    Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds. Now mix chopped onion. Cook with adding a bit of salt, till onions become golden quicker

    Then add chopped tomatoes and cook covered in low flame for nearly about 8 - 10 minutes. The tomatoes become soft, mushy and gathered with the onion masala like a dough, thus separating oil in the Kadhai from masala.

    Mix the rest dry spices along with chilli powder and then crushed coriander seeds. Sauté for 1 minute.

    Then add crushed papad, kasoori methi. Stir well to mix the masala.

    Add sugar and adjusting the salt.

    Add warm water as required to get desired consistency.
    Let it simmer gently. Mix paneer cubes and cream. Stir well gently to avoid breaking of paneer.

    Cook the paneer butter masala uncovered for 5 minutes or more to get the required consistency of the gravy of the recipe.

    Add the garam masala powder and mix well. Transfer to a serving pot and sprinkle some crushed kasoori methi and decorate with cream.

    Yummy and delicious Dhaba style Paneer Butter Masala is ready to serve hot with Naan, Paratha,Roti and steamed Rice. Thanks.
