Gather all the ingredients.

In a small bowl, combine all the tikka ingredients.

Mix well and marinate for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, oil in a Dutch oven (2 US qt) over medium heat.

Add onions and cook until lightly golden.

Add ginger and garlic. Cook until fragrant.

Add chili, turmeric, coriander, and cumin.

Keep stirring and cook until you smell an aroma.

Add tomatoes Sauté until tomatoes are pasty (4-5 mins)

Add water and bring to a simmer. Heat to a gentle simmer.

Cover and cook while stirring occasionally.

Cook for 20 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.

Add marinated shrimp and salt. Cook until heated through.

Stir in garam masala, sugar, and heavy cream.

Taste and adjust with salt as needed. Serve.
コツ・ポイント
Sauté the onions until lightly golden to make the base of the curry. Cook the tomatoes to evaporate excess moisture.
