Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Cut the butter into small pieces and stick back in the fridge pulling out only when ready to incorporate into the dough.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Cut butter and shortening into dry ingredients.
- 5
Mix in buttermilk and gently knead just a couple of times.
- 6
Roll out and cut into rounds.
- 7
Brush tops with additional buttermilk.
- 8
Bake for 15-20 min. until brown on top.

Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
- 10
