I don't have an ice cream maker and I really wanted ice cream. I was happy when I found a can of coconut milk in the fridge and I decided to make this with a little help from the internet. You can also add any flavouring you like, not just Dates.

These go great with white wine! I make them as an appetizer when hosting parties.Dates are originally from the Middle East. They are very similar to dried Japanese persimmons.In England and Australia there is a sweet dessert that uses the excellent combination of dates and caramel called "Sticky Date Pudding."
