Breaded and Deep Fried Sardines

To those who know how, you may simply say "just butterfly the fish", but I had no idea how to do it myself. Follow this recipe to learn how!
Once you get used to dealing with sardines, it's easy. Sardines that have already been butterflied are more expensive. It's a cheap fish, so just practice butterflying them yourself.
Make sure you have some ice water ready. Recipe by Osshosan

Crispy Deep-Fried Sardines Crispy Deep-Fried Sardines
If you only use egg, the panko and the coating don't stick to the fish as well. Plus when you need to make a lot, one egg just isn't enough...But with this recipe, you can use just 1 egg and still make a lot. Plus the panko sticks very easily.Dissolve the flour in water so that it's pretty thick. When mixing with the egg, if you feel that there's not enough, adjust with a little bit more watered down flour. Deep-Fried Sardine and Peanut Butter Rolls Deep-Fried Sardine and Peanut Butter Rolls
I created his recipe because I just thought that peanut butter and sardines might go well together...The oil used to deep-fry the sardines will have fishy smell, so please discard it. 32 g of super crunchy peanut butter contains 190 kcal according to Skippy's website. The peanut butter will come out while deep-frying, so the intake of it will decrease a little bit, but I didn't reduce the calories by that. I didn't calculate the oil for deep-frying since I couldn't calculate how much oil has been absorbed... Recipe by lovechi cookpad.japan -

Foolproof Deep-Fried Sardine (Mackerel) Foolproof Deep-Fried Sardine (Mackerel)
I failed at filleting the sardines. It would have just fallen apart if I tried to simmer them, so I tried deep frying them. Aside from just looking good, the flavor really soaks in, and it's got a nice coating. All in all it was pretty delicious. The more serrated the cut edges of the fish are, the more the edges will rise up dynamically when frying. Recipe by Masapandayan. cookpad.japan -

Homemade Oil Sardines Homemade Oil Sardines
I was told how to make this from a shop that always has delicious homemade oil sardines. These also taste good if you add thyme or basil. Add your favorite herbs and adjust the amount of garlic, chili pepper, and pepper to your tastes. Olive oil is kind of strong, so you can use soybean oil or vegetable oil if you prefer. You can also add the oil from this recipe to pasta or salad, or even stir-fries. They will store in the refrigerator for 1 month, but please try to eat them quickly. Store in the freezer. Dried Sardines Grilled with Oil Dried Sardines Grilled with Oil
I couldn't decide whether to buy pacific saury or dried sardines, but thought that because it's autumn, I should get the pacific saury. But I'd had some recently, so I didn't know what to do. Pacific saury are grilled and flipped using tongs, but once you put them on the grill, it would be difficult to flip them over. I kept changing my mind up until the time I was at the register, and I really didn't want to regret my purchase, so I decided to just go with dried sardines. If you flip the fish too many times when grilling, the skin will break apart, so be careful. Non-Fried Sardines with Genovese Sauce Non-Fried Sardines with Genovese Sauce
This is a family favorite that I often make with some delicious genovese sauce. Thank you "Jonlīkukkā" for a magnificent recipe!Adding curry powder helps to get rid of the gaminess of the fish. I instructed to use mayonnaise so that the skin side will catch the panko well, but it's really up to you. This dish is lower in calories since the sardines aren't deep-fried, and the nutrients that usually dissolves in the oil are stay packed inside the sardines. The genovese sauce works as an antioxidant, too, which makes things even better. Recipe by miyuki12 cookpad.japan -

I love plump deep-fried prawns. They're yummier if you make them at home.We eat the tails of the fried prawns at restaurants. So I have to be ready for the oil to sputter. Do not overcook the prawns otherwise the they will be dry and tough. For making 16. Recipe by Peko. cookpad.japan -
Shallow-fry Breaded Fish Shallow-fry Breaded Fish
As a student whose family is not always home for dinner, i would have to cook/buy food on my own. When theres food at home, it would be good for me as i would be able to whip up dishes myself. If not, i would have to buy my own ingredients and cook dinner. So i came up with this recipe. The fish was 4$ for 600grams as it was bought frozen. I used panko breadcrumbs which was 3$ for a packet of about 5 cups. Everything else in the dish was either very cheap, or a staple at home. For this dish, i spent less than $10, and it comfortably fed me, my cousin and 3 friends. My original recipe was for 4, but i halved it here. Waynynyny
