Ingredients

8-20 people
  1. 500 gcastor sugar or granulated sugar (fine grain sugar)
  2. 500 gbutter (use unsalted butter + 1/4teaspoon salt)
  3. 500 gself raising flour
  4. 8eggs
  5. 6 tablespoonmilk or 100g milk
  6. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

    Add sugar and butter beat at a low speed then add speed and beat for five minutes

  2. 2

    Add egg 2 by 2 while beating after each addition beating on a high speed

  3. 3

    Sieve self raising flour and add to the mixing bowl bit by bit while mixing at a lower speed

  4. 4

    Mix vanilla and milk and add to the batter, beat at a lower speed, increase speed and beat for a while about three minutes

  5. 5

    In the four tins equally add batter and bake for 22 mins to 30 mins or until a skewer comes out clean

  6. 6

    Cool on a cooling rack for five minutes before turning the cake over and cooling for around other 10minutes
