Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupfinely chopped Onions
  2. 2 cupsBeaten rice (poha) flakes
  3. 2 tbspOil
  4. 1/4 cupRaw peanuts
  5. 1 tbspMustard seeds
  6. 1 tbspCumin
  7. 4Curry leaves
  8. 2 tbspfinely chopped Green chillies
  9. 2 tbspChopped Coriander
  10. 1/4 tbspAsafoetida
  11. 1/2 tbspTurmeric
  12. as requiredSalt to taste

    First, clean and wash the rice flakes in a sieve with enough water and keep aside.

    Then add Asafoetida, turmeric and mix it well and after some time add the rice flakes, salt and mix it again.

    Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and keep stirring occasionally.

    Turn off the gas flame add coriander and lemon juice, mix it and garnish with dessicated coconut and coriander.

    So, Kanda Poha is ready.

    Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
