Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  1. 3 cupsbeaten rice
  2. 1onion finely chopped
  3. 2green chilli finely chopped
  4. 2 tbspnoil
  5. 2 tbspnpeanuts
  6. 2 tbspnchopped almonds
  7. 2 tbspnKaju/ cashew
  8. 1 tspcumin seeds
  9. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 2 pinchasafoetida
  11. 10-12curry leaves
  12. 1 tsp sugar powder
  13. to tastesalt
  14. 1 tspturmeric powder
  15. 1 tbsplemon juice
  16. 2 tbspcoconut grated/ powder

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes

    Firstly soak beaten rice into lukewarm water only for 1-2 minutes. *don't over soak.. then strain and wash in running water

    And add 1 tspn salt and sugar mix gently and keep aside.

    Heat oil into a wok and fry almonds, kaju and peanuts then transfer into a plate.

    In same oil add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafetida crackled them.

    When they crackled then add curry leaves and cook then add onions and green chilli and cook until onion becomes soft.

    Add salt and turmeric powder mix well.

  7. 7

    Now add soaked beaten rice and fry dry fruits mix well and cover with lid and cook for five minutes on low flame.

    Now add lemon juice and coconut powder..
    mix and serve hot.
    ready our yummy healthy Maharashtrian Kanda Poha.
