Frontier Chowder

My sister-in-law used to make this soup many years ago. My girls loved it so much that I had to get her recipe. I always make a double batch, as it disappears quickly.

Serve with fresh bread and a green salad.

This is such a warm comfort food and not hard to make at all! I love fall weather, it means fall food! Nom. :hungry

Its a rustic chowder not traditional, in the fact potatoes were substituted with cauliflower. Heavy cream substituted for coconut milk.

Its so cold here in Canada so this soup is perfect to warm the body right up!

One of my clients made this for me and wouldn't share the recipe. This was all based off taste and I have to say it is pretty comparable. I hope you like this as much as I do.

Tired of eating clam chowder so i thought of trying something different. It turned out delicious. Ill never eat clam chowder again. You can also do it with shrimp

I made this recipe, and can honestly say if you love clam chowder you'll love this! It's very hearty, chunky and flavorful. One of the best chowders I've had!!

It's that time of the year again. I've overindulged through the holidays and now it's time to get rid of the 10 pounds I always seem to gain. This chowder has all the flavor of a full fat version with only 6 grams of fat and 132 calories per serving.

I live in the New England area and there are many delicious chowder restaurants. I tried to make this chowder taste closest to the restaurant that makes me think, "This place is delicious." I can make this dish quickly whenever I want with canned clams, so it is very easy and economical.You can taste the strong flavor of wine, so if you do not like wine, use less of it. Usually there are no carrots in New England Clam Chowder, but I used them since I prefer the taste. The soup will be delicious if you add other vegetables you like such as corn. This is a family favorite that my mom used to make me when I was little. So good on a cold winter's night.

I should have called it every thing but the kitchen sink. But it sure turned out good.

This is the best chowder I've ever tasted! The sweetness from the fresh corn and carrots make this meal visually beautiful and delicious!

My first recipe post! My hubby-to-be had been craving corn chowder for a while so I decided to mix and match some different recipes and ingredients and make my own! I made it dairy free for my temperamental tummy, but didn't sacrifice the creaminess :)

I made this clam chowder with lots of oysters and veggies. If you add some short pasta, this soup will become even more filling.This soup will be amazing even without the white wine! You can also substitute the water with milk. The key is to cook the vegetables well in Step 2. They will be cooked in Step 3 as well, but it's important to add the oysters after they become soft.
