I love cooking my rice like pilau with spices minus the meat.

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. I1/2 cups pure Biriyani rice
  2. 2 cupsboiled green gramsxghm h
  3. 2large onions
  4. 2medium tomatoes
  5. I small onion
  6. Salt
  7. Oil
  8. Crushed ginger & garlic
  9. 1 table spoonpilau masala
  10. bunchCoriander
  11. 1Avocado

Cooking Instructions

    Chop the 2 Large onions & put them in a heavy sufuria or non stick pot.

    Fry the onions till golden brown,add 3 cups of water, 1table spoon of pilau masala & 1 teaspoon salt.

    Boil the mixture & add in the rice, let it cook & allow it to simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.

    Insert a fork to ensure it's totally dry & fluffy.

  5. 5

    In a heavy sufuria, non stick pot, add chopped onions & oil fry till almost brown.

  6. 6

    Add the ginger & garlic paste, as well as tomatoes, allow it to cook into a puree.

    Add the green grams & let it cook with a cup of water.

  8. 8

    Serve while hot & garnish with, coriander, tomatoes & Avocado
