Cooking Instructions
- 1
In heavy sufuria, heat the oil & add the onions. Fry them gently.
- 2
Add the ginger & garlic & continue frying making sure they don't burn
- 3
Add the pilau masala & seasoning cubes.
- 4
Add the meat. Make sure the onions don't burn
- 5
After the meat has cooked well in the spices, add your rice & stir gently. Make sure it is well coated with the meat & spices.
- 6
Add water according to your rice type & cooking instructions. I pre-soaked my rice before draining. Taste & add salt if necessary.
- 7
Cook on high heat making sure it does not burn & reduce the heat after the water starts drying. Give it a light stir from the edge to the center. Cover your sufuria & let your pilau cook for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat & leave it covered for about 10 minutes or until ready.

Substitute for Refried beans Substitute for Refried beans
I thought I had refried beans and well I didn’t and the recipe I was making called for it, so I came up with this... and because I was already using taco seasoning for the dish I was making I added it to the beans too. I was making my beans dip and I didn’t have the main ingredient lol.... this recipe turned out awesome and I might be making my refried beans this way for now on, way better than the can stuff, and so easy. 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -
