Ingredients

  1. 4 tablespoonbutter
  2. 1-1/4 cupall purpose flour
  3. 3 tablespoonextra Virgin olive oil, I used organic
  4. 1large egg
  5. 3 tablespoonorganic extra Virgin olive oil to fry in
  6. 1/2 stickbutter to finish frying in
  7. 2 teaspoonHerbs De Provence
  8. 1-1/2 teaspoonground black pepper
  9. 1/2 teaspoonkosher salt
  10. 1/2 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  11. 2/3 teaspoononion powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoondill weed
  13. 1-1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  14. 1/2 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    Add the spices, sugar, and butter to the flour. Mix well it should look like sand when done I used my hands to really break up the butter and incorporate it in well.

    Next add the olive oil.

    Then the egg and water, now mix well.

  4. 4

    Add the baking soda now then knead about 8 times. Heat the oil in a frying pan.

    Ok this is how it should look. Break it up into 5 pieces and form ovals about the size of your hand.

    Add the bread to the oil. It's going to absorb the oil when you turn it fry for 4 minutes. Add the butter when you turn it and fry for 3 minutes.

    Move to the paper towel to absorb excessive amounts of oil. Serve warm I hope you enjoy!!!
