Ingredients

  1. 1 kgAll purpose flour
  2. 13 gyeast
  3. 3 tbspButter/margarine
  4. 12 TbspVegetable oil
  5. Warm milk
  6. 1/4 Tspsalt
  7. 1 Tbspsesame seeds
  8. 1egg for eggwash

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl combine all the ingredients except milk.

    Make a well and add milk little by little.

  3. 3

    Transfer on your work surface and Knead for 5-8mins until you get a firm but soft dough.

    Cover with a damp cloth and let it double in size.

  5. 5

    Preheat oven and line tour baking tin or sheet.

  6. 6

    When it has doubled in size, punch it down and knead once more.

  7. 7

    Divide into sizeable balls.

  8. 8

    Take one ball and divide into three equal balls. Roll them to form rod like shapes.

    Braid them starting at the centre, you can also join them at one end and braid

  10. 10

    Braid till you finish.

    Tou can braid a bigger one and a smaller one

    Place one ontop of the other.

    Brush with eggwash and sprinkle alittle sesame seeds.

    Let it double in size, then bake for 20mins or until golden brown and well baked

  15. 15

    Apply your favorite spread and enjoy.
