An Asian Woman and her Spaghetti Sauce An Asian Woman and her Spaghetti Sauce
Last month, with the grocery program came 2 cans of Del Monte spaghetti sauce. I want to use them up. Know nothing about how spaghetti sauce supposed to taste, but know exactly how I want my spaghetti sauce to taste like. I want some saltiness in every bites to offset the sourness and sweetness of the sauce. I am not very fond of olives so I used capers. I also used blanched broccoli because I want something green to bring out the red color of the sauce. And because my husband is Korean, we need some heat. Thus, red pepper flakes are a must. We like pork more than beef, so using up some leftover bacons is unavoidable. There is an old saying in Vietnamese: deaf people are not afraid of gunshots. I am “deaf” right now. I am going to cook spaghetti sauce my ways.Massimo Battura can grind his teeth, pull his hair, and clench his fists. Here I come. 2choi -

Greek Souvlaki & Tzatziki Sauce Greek Souvlaki & Tzatziki Sauce
This is my version of a recipe I saw on a cooking show in Canada. The word for "eatery" in Greek is "taverna." This sounds like "taberuna," in Japanese, which means "don't eat," so, it's an eating establishment where you can't eat? There are lots of "taverna" in Vancouver and they are very popular.Tzatziki is a versatile sauce that can be used for both meat and salad. Put chicken and salad topped with tzatziki in pita bread for a pita sandwich. I'm in love with this sauce. Recipe by LazyHata cookpad.japan -
Salmon Meunière with a Simple and Colorful Vegetable Sauce Salmon Meunière with a Simple and Colorful Vegetable Sauce
I like eating vegetables together with fish, so my family always eats meunière with this recipe!!if you are going to immediately use the vegetable sauce, water will seep out and thin the sauce, so taste-test right before eating and adjust accordingly. I used 1/4 each of a yellow and red pepper for the sauce in the photo. For 2 servings. Recipe by MyT09 cookpad.japan -
Lonnie’s Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Lonnie’s Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
Lonnie’s signature spaghetti sauce, totally from scratch! It has been a family favorite for years. This sauce is great for lasagna or spaghetti and GREATLY improves when stored and re-heated!I will generally cook an entire batch of sauce and store it for use later. If the sauce is to be used the next day, put it in the refrigerator. Otherwise, freeze the sauce and re-heat when needed. Ne0nguy
