How to make Simple Jollof Rice

There are many different ways to cook Jollof Rice. It is a dish made with rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, scotch bonnet, bell peppers aka tatashe, salt, and bay leaf and vegetable oil. If it doesn't have the above mentioned ingredients, then it's not true Jollof 😀. The perfect Nigeria Jollof is done over fire wood; where the smokey flavor is infused into the Rice.
Cooking Instructions

Pour warm or hot water over the rice and allow it soak for about 30minutes
- 2

- 3
Dice the remaining onion and set aside
- 4
Heat up pot and add veg oil and then onions, sauté for about a minute then add tomatoes paste
- 5

A taste of traditional Chicken Soup with Rice A taste of traditional Chicken Soup with Rice
This is soup season with the cold coming in strong what better comfort food to have than soup. So many different recipes for Chicken soup, I find it so difficult to choose which one is or could be my favorite. This soup is so different from the others because I have tweaked it slightly so by adding bay leaf, and I have not added any vegetables because I wanted the taste from the bay leaf to stand out from the rest of the ingredients. I hope you enjoy Foodzesty -

Easy Heart-Shaped Rice Omelette Made In A Rice Cooker Easy Heart-Shaped Rice Omelette Made In A Rice Cooker
This rice omelette is easy to make but filled with love. There's no need to stir fry the rice, but it still tastes like it's all been sautéed together. If you add the seasoning ingredients to the rice at the very start, it won't absorb as much moisture as it should, so add them after the rice has soaked enough in water. The bell peppers will discolor if you add them early, so mix them in after the rice is cooked when it's entered the keep-warm stage. For the thin omelette (usuyaki tamago), please refer to the tips in. For 2 servings. Recipe by vegeful cookpad.japan
