Cooking Instructions

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl,add egg and hot water

Mix the dough and transfer unto a working surface, knead and add some soften butter and knead again untill your hand comes out clean,beat the dough for about 10mins

Transfer the dough into a grease bowl,leave to set until it double it size,cut the dough into 8 equal pieces,take each piece and mould into a ball shape,then arrange on a parchment paper

Grease with melted butter, allow it to rise for about 1 hour,fry on low heat,

Using a pipping bag fitted with nozzle filled the doughnuts with strawberry jam, ENJOY

My favourite treat is doughnuts! After lots of trial and error, I managed to mimc the taste of Mister Doughnuts! Unfortunately, when I originally tried cooking them in my 2 silicone doughnut trays they didn't work at all (The above picture shows what happened when I took them out of the tray. It was too late, and they didn't come out as nicely as I wanted.)They are very soft freshly baked, so if you are using a silicon tray, let them cool for a little bit before removal. I have attempted so many bread type doughnut recipes. I took the best ingredient ratios, mixing then adding to pan, then coating, from several recipes.Try to use new oil to fry these!You can substitute the egg with milk, but they will begin hardening the next day.If the dough contains too much moisture, it will evaporate when fried and they will wither when taken out of the oil.
