I made it light with Chinese cabbage and tofu. This is done in about 3 minutes after you put everything in a pot. Turn the heat off when you add the katakuriko potato starch flour dissolved in water, and stir it in quickly and gently. Heat the pan again until the sauce has thickened. Tofu with Enoki Mushrooms and Chinese Cabbage Ankake Sauce Tofu with Enoki Mushrooms and Chinese Cabbage Ankake Sauce
I wanted to eat something healthy and that'll also warms me up.You don't need to be picky about the ingredients or seasoning. Anything you like is fine.If the taste is too strong, simply dilute with water and increase the amount of the sauce (note that the liquid from tofu dilutes the sauce, so it is better to make the taste slightly concentrated at first).Microwave right before serving, so the tofu softens nicely. Tofu Steak With Ground Meat Sauce Tofu Steak With Ground Meat Sauce
I just put some ingredients that were cheap at the supermarket together, and the results were really delicious! I wrote it down as a recipe so that I could re-create it myself.Tofu falls apart easily, so it's best to use a firm type of tofu. Don't forget to drain off the water very well! For 2 servings. Healthy Tofu Doria with Tofu Sauce Healthy Tofu Doria with Tofu Sauce
I had a craving for doria. But I was also on a diet…So, I made this quick dish using a simple tofu sauce.Add any filling of your choice, like corn or sautéed mushrooms.Take care not to heat the tofu too much when draining, since it should contain at least a small amount of water. This dish also tastes amazing with firm tofu. I recommend mashing the firm tofu roughly to keep its nice texture. Recipe by mocomanma cookpad.japan -

You might think this is not right, but I think the best way to get rid of the excess water in tofu is to soak it in salted water before frying it.You don't have to worry about frying the sides of the tofu.To get rid of the excess water in the tofu I usually soak it in salted water. You can use this method for draining the water from tofu for making mapo- tofu also. Recipe by Rokkuru cookpad.japan -

Tofu with Crab Sauce Tofu with Crab Sauce
I wanted to make a refined tasting Chinese style dish that highlighted the delicate texture of tofu. They say that it's easier to get rid of the excess moisture in tofu if you boil it for a while, but if you can't be bothered you can skip this step.Once you put the tofu in the pot, don't use utensils to stir fry - shake the wok to stir the ingredients around instead. If you can manage to keep the shape of the tofu intact when you put this on a serving plate, it will look classier. For 2 servings. Recipe by KiwieKiwie cookpad.japan -
Korean Style Fried Tofu with Chili Garlic Soy Sauce Korean Style Fried Tofu with Chili Garlic Soy Sauce
The best way to get a meateater who's never tried tofu to hate it is to serve it as a meat substitute.Because there is no way a brick of soybean curd is ever going to take the place of a juicy steak, or a meaty pork chop, or even a piece of chicken breast. Well, maybe a chicken breast... specially if it's the boneless, skinless kind...But anyways, you don't hate tofu. What you hate is tofu that's served as meat. What you hate is tofu fashioned into *burger* patties. What you hate is when people tell you to just sprinkle some Bacos on tofu and it'll taste just like bacon. You like tofu. You know why? Because firstly, tofu tastes like tofu - mildly nutty and yes, wildly adaptable, but not as a substitute for meat. And when you prepare tofu to complement its flavor rather than mask it, you don't have the undesired effect of finding out that it really doesn't taste just like whatever you sprinkled on it. Secondly, because it is such a simple and elegant food, it takes well to simple, easy, and elegant preparations. :) x
