Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with ricotta cheese

Not a terribly original recipe but a favorite easy to make appetizer!

This recipe is really easy but makes you look really fancy and if you put a lot on effort on it but it's so simple and versatile.

I made my homemade spinach and artichoke cheese dip and had some left over my sister wanted stuffed Zucchinis and this is what I came up with.

This is a very simple stuffed mushroom filled with a combination of cheeses to make them full flavored, creamy with some heat. The bacon is, well just delicious with the cheese and mushrooms! Serve as an appetizer or a side dish or even on a salad.

I'd been wanting to make bacon wrapped jalapeños for tailgating ever since I'd seen an ad in a cooking magazine. I also thought of jalapeño poppers and had eaten gorgonzola/goat cheese stuffed figs/dates (yes I've had all varieties) before. I opted for the easiest to obtain/cheapest ingredients, but cooking time will probably differ if you opt for prosciutto over bacon (o:

I had a craving for a bacon wrapped chicken breast but my mother had already started cooking somethibg else! So I decided to only take out one chicken breast and make them minature and winded coming up with a great appetizer!! Hope u all like :)

This is an old recipe my mom and grandma used to make when they would host echre and cribbage parties. There were never left overs.

I never thought that dates can be so good with bacon. When i was in the supermarket with a friend she told me that dates are delicious when wrapped with a bacon. The natural sweetness of dates and bacon when combine together is amazing :)

Now I'm sure that I've forgotten a few minor things, but I wrote this as more of a guide then a strict recipe. All of the major steps are there.Anyways, a bit of background. I've been using this recipe since I was sixteen, sometimes I'll dry rub it and sometimes I use a oight marinade on the meat beforehand. it really depends on what is in our cabinets at the time. For the last few years this recipe has won my neighborhood's 4th of july bbq contest.So I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I have for the last few years.
