Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine all dry ingredients and mix well.
- 2
Pour warm water bit by bit and mix with a spatula or spoon.
- 3
Knead. If the dough is too dry, add water. If it's too wet, add flour.
- 4
Cover and wait for 10 minutes. Divide into 12 parts.
- 5
Spread about 1 tablespoon of flour on your working space. Flatten the dough and roll into roundish shape.
- 6
Heat oil in a pan. I use medium heat. Fry flattened dough. It takes less than one minute for each side to brown, so flip after one side has become brown.

This is a recipe for fried bread that is used to make Indian Tacos. This is a yeast version. I revised a recipe that my mother-in-law gave me into easy to make measurements.-The moisture of the dough may vary depending on the type of flour used and the humidity, so adjust accordingly.-The dough should be just a little bit softer than your earlobe.-I used the rapid rise type of yeast that can be used instantly after mixed with the flour.
