Ingredients

  1. 600-800 gbeef casserole steak
  2. 1large onion or 2 leeks
  3. 500 mlred wine
  4. 1stock cube
  5. Large sprig thyme
  6. 2-3 tablespoonstomato purée
  7. 2 clovesgarlic
  8. 3large bay leaves
  9. 2-3carrots / parsnips
  10. Handfulmushrooms
  11. 1 tspcornflour

Cooking Instructions

    Fry the onions / leeks

  2. 2

    Cut the beef into pieces and fry until just brown

  3. 3

    Add tomato purée, garlic and herbs & stock cube

  4. 4

    Add 500ml red wine

  5. 5

    Cover and cook on high for 2 hours

  6. 6

    Add the carrots and parsnips and cook for another 2 hours

  7. 7

    Add mushrooms and if necessary thicken with cornflour
