Tropical salsa

Spicy and sweet salsa. I was going to add shrimp and avocados, but it was too spicy for me. So I left out the shrimp and avocados in this batch. My aunt made a similar recipe, the recipe she made called for mango, cilantro, agave, and lime juice. But I compromised by using a banana, honey, and lemon juice. Just only add, how much jalapeno you can handle and it'll be perfect.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Always wash off veggies
- 2
Dice up jalapeno, onion, and tomatoes. Add to a large bowl. Mix together.
- 3
Cut up banana(straight down the middle, long ways, and then cut into slices, to make half slices) and dice up pineapple. Add to the same bowl. Mix together
- 4
Add 1-2 caps of lemon juice, to taste. Mix the lemon juice in.
- 5
Add honey 3x(4 circles around the bowl), hopefully that makes sense, because I didn't measure it. Mix the honey in real good.
- 6
Add salt and pepper to taste.
- 7
(Optional) shrimp and avocados. I would add the avocados and banana last honestly, because they smash easier than everything else, especially the avocados. Lightly add the avocados last.

Salsa Salsa
I like to cook with things I already have in the kitchen, this recipe was a spur of the moment kinda thing.Substitute whatever type of peppers you want. This recipe has a good kick, but of course that's all relative.Less spicy: I recommend only using poblano peppers or peppers low on the Scoville scaleTip: if too spicy, simmer it and/or add any type of sugar or citrus (lemon, lime)mjkenn3

Creole Salsa Creole Salsa
Salsa with a Creole flavor is so yummy! I stumbled across the recipe in an old cookbook that belonged to my great granny. I enjoyed it so much that I made enough to be canned! So far…24 pints and 7 half pints of Creole Salsa sitting on the shelf. Edit: second batch: I used fresh big boy tomatoes in place of the “store bought” can of tomatoes. My neighbor asked if I cooked it before canning? Nope, it’s cooked during canning.#GlobalApron 2024 Sonya Bankester -
