This is a quick fix recipe that is also relatively healthy. Made with a minimum fuss and ingredients, this can be made when people drop by your place unannounced.

I remember eating this when I was a kid and instantly fell in love. Hope you do too!

Thank you Ma and Pa for letting me experience this taste. [This is for you guys.]

Ingredients

7 minutes
8 to 10 nos.
  1. 1/2 cupjaggery powder
  2. 1 cuproasted gram
  3. 1/4 cupghee at room temperature
  4. 1/4 tspcardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

7 minutes
  1. 1

In a mixie jar grind the roasted gram to a fine powder. Sieve the powder to ensure there are no lumps.

  2. 2

Transfer it back to the jar. Add in the ghee, jaggery powder, cardamom powder and run them together until they form a single unit dough that adheres together inside the jar. Should take about 1 minute.

  3. 3

Transfer the batch of dough into a plate and start making smooth balls of it. Ensure to make balls without surface cracks.

  4. 4

Plate them, offer thanks to God (if religious) and enjoy!

  5. 5

Note: Jaggery powder will differ if using it store bought. It will be dry and may consume a little more ghee. Since it is made with jaggery, even diabetes can consume this without fear. It is a very good source of protein and hence is great for toddlers and kids.

  6. 6

Keep stored in air tight container for about 2 weeks and refrigerate if storing beyond. Don't freeze.
