Ingredients

45 mins
6 servings
  1. 6apples
  2. 2 tbspsugar
  3. 2 tspground cinnamon
  4. 1 1/2 tsplemon juice
  5. 1 cupbrown sugar
  6. 3/4 cupquick oats
  7. 3/4 cupwhite flour
  8. 1/2 cupunsalted butter

Cooking Instructions

45 mins
  1. 1

Peel and chop the apples. If you want to slice them, that will work too.

  2. 2

    Preheat oven to 350 F.

  3. 3

    Grease an 8x8 baking dish.

  4. 4

In a mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and lemon juice then transfer to the baking dish.

  5. 5

Next, we prepare the crisp topping. Dice or grate the butter to make it easier to work with. In a new mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt, and butter. Work the mixture until you have crumbed the butter with the other ingredients.

  6. 6

Evenly spread the topping over the apples in the baking dish.

  7. 7

    Bake for 45 minutes.
