Easy Side Dish! Baked Leek with Mustard and Cheese

I didn't want to make gratin today, so I made an easy cheese bake instead. It was tasty! Since I liked it, I uploaded the recipe.
If you use the leeks right after washing and cutting, they will cook perfectly from the water on them while steam-frying. It's better to cook the leeks until they become soft. Recipe by KT121

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the cheese and grainy mustard in a bowl. When you are using a block of cheese, either grate it or cut into 1 cm cubes.
- 2
Remove the green part of the leeks, and cut into 7-8 mm wide slices.
- 3
Add the olive oil into a frying pan, and stir-fry the leeks.
- 4
When they become wilted, turn down the heat. Cover with a lid, and steam-fry for about 8-10 minutes until they become soft. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 5
Place the Step 4 leeks in a heatproof dish, and put the cheese and grainy mustard mixture on top.
- 6
Bake in the oven or in a grill until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Because I had 2 daikon radishes...The fat from the bacon will solidify if you chill too much in the refrigerator, so I recommend to keep it at room temperature.I divided the process into many steps so it would be easy to understand. When you are stir-frying the bacon at Step 6 with a lid and it's not browning evenly, use the lid as a shield and stir the bacon around occasionally. No need to be too diligent though.Use as much ponzu sauce and lemon juice as you like! For 2 to 4 servings. Recipe by santababy cookpad.japan -
