Delicious Bakery-Style Bacon Bread

COOKPAD user "Lincli's" ham and cheese rolls are delicious, so I tried making them with sauce. They are both delicious, and making bread is just so much fun that I can't stop.

When wrapping up the sauce in the dough, coat only half of it, or else it will get in the way when closing up and you won't be able to do it tightly! Coat the dough as lightly as possible with the sauce and then top it with even more sauce when finished baking to make it taste delicious. Recipe by Meirinrin

Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 1Bread dough
  2. 4long strips Bacon
  3. 3 tbspMayonnaise
  4. 2 tbspSoy sauce
  5. 1 dashPepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and let it sit During that time, mix the mayonnaise and soy sauce together. Cut long strips of bacon in half to make 8 strips! Each strip should be about 10cm.

  2. 2

Stretch out the dough into an ellipse and lightly spread on the mayonnaise and soy sauce dressing. It is good to cover about half of the dough. You won't be able to close it properly if the sauce goes all the way to the edges of the dough.

  3. 3

Place the bacon on top and roll it up from the left. The bacon slides around easily when rolling it up, so please roll it up while holding it down with your finger. Tightly pinch it shut and place the seam facing downwards.

  4. 4

Form it into this shape, and let it rise for the second time until it doubles in size. It will rise nicely if you place it into a slightly warmed oven for an hour.

  5. 5

After rising, brush the surface with a bit of the whisked egg and water leftover from kneading it. This is to give it a glaze! Slice a slit into the top and sprinkle with pepper. You can use dried parsley if making it for children.

  6. 6

Bake at 190°C for about 15 minutes. After it has baked for about 6 minutes, squeeze the mayonnaise and soy sauce dressing into the slit, and place it back into the oven! It is done once it turns golden brown.

  7. 7

If you put the mayonnaise and soy sauce into a plastic bag, close it off with a rubber band, and then poke a hole in the bottom with a toothpick, you will easily be able to squeeze it into the cut slits on top of the breads.
