Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 1 blockFirm tofu
  2. 120 gramsMinced pork
  3. 1half White part of Japanese leek
  4. 1half Carrot (optional)
  5. 1 cloveGarlic
  6. 1Katakuriko slurry
  7. Seasonings
  8. 1 1/2 tbspTianmianjiang
  9. 1 tspChinese chicken soup stock (powder)
  10. 1 tspSoy sauce
  11. 1 tspSake
  12. 100 mlWater
  13. 1 tspDoubanjiang (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Drain excess water from the tofu for half a day.

  2. 2

    Combine the seasonings.

  3. 3

    Heat vegetable oil and fry the garlic gently to bring out the flavor.

  4. 4

    Add the pork and carrot and stir fry.

  5. 5

    After the meat is cooked through, pour in the mixed seasonings. Simmer to let the meat absorb the flavor.

    Add the tofu and leek to simmer. It's done.

    My kids (3 year-old and 1 year-old) who love dishes seasoned with tianmianjiang, finished off the plate when I added blanched komatsuna to the dish!
