Peach Compote

I received many peaches, so I made them into a compote before they went bad.

Additional note: I added the simmering time.
It depends how ripe the peach is, so cook until soft enough to poke through easily with a chopstick. Recipe by Shinamoro-rus

Ingredients

  1. 3Peach
  2. 400 mlWater
  3. 100 gramsSugar
  4. 1 tbspLemon juice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Wash peaches well under running water to remove their fuzz.

  2. 2

Make a cut along the line of the peach. Twist to open. Scoop out the pit with a spoon.

  3. 3

Simmer water, sugar lemon juice and peach, cut in half (with skin) in a pan.

  4. 4

Remove scum and simmer for about 10 minutes, flipping the peach occasionally (until soft enough to poke through with a chopstick easily).

  5. 5

Cool it down a bit, and peel the skin. You can remove the entire skin easily. Let rest in the refrigerator.

  6. 6

Chill and serve with ice cream.

  7. 7

I made jelly from the syrup of the compote..
