Yakitori at Home

Cooking Instructions

Remove the skin and excess fat, cut into 2 cm pieces, and sprinkle with a little sake (not listed). Cut the leek into 2 cm pieces.

Skewer the chicken and the leek. Combine the ● ingredients and set aside.

Add a little oil to a heated frying pan and place the skewers evenly in the pan. Cook both sides well.

Cover with a lid and steam cook for 3 minutes on medium heat. Turn off the heat and leave for 5 minutes.

Transfer the yakitori to a plate and wipe clean the frying pan with a paper towel.

Heat the frying pan again and add the sauce. Once it starts to bubble, add the sugar. Once it has a creamy thickness, place in the chicken again and mix well with the sauce and it's complete.

I cooked some atsuage as well and seasoned it with the sauce. You can sprinkle on ichimi spice and serve them as an appetizer.
