Bread Machine Whey Bread

I ended up with a lot of whey to bake a yogurt cake, so I baked this to use it up.

In the winter, bring the whey to room temperature first.
The bread will rise, so 3 g of instant dry yeast is sufficient.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 220 gramsStrong (bread) flour
  2. 30 gramsCake flour
  3. 175 mlWhey
  4. 25 gramsSugar
  5. 3 gramsSalt
  6. 25 gramsButter
  7. 3 gramsInstant dry yeast

Cooking Instructions

    Bring the whey to room temperature. During high temperatures in summer, keep it in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Put everything except for the butter in the bread machine, set it to the bread loaf setting, and press the start button. Add butter after 5 minutes.

    This is what it looks like sliced. It's so fluffy.

I’m starting my second loaf if this recipe… so soft and fluffy! Didn’t have cake powder so used 2 tablespoons of cornstarch added to 250 grams of bread flour. Even my family loved it and couldn’t tell em it was whey til they said they loved it
