Mashed Potatoes

After trying many flavors, this became a favorite in our household.
After the potatoes have boiled, perform Steps 2 and 3 quickly. Doing everything while they're still hot will change the smoothness of the potatoes. They will taste even better if you mix until the potatoes become plump and glossy. Recipe by Cookie shiasu
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces. Add the * ingredients to a pot and fill with water until just covered. Boil until the potatoes are soft.
- 2
Put the boiled potatoes and garlic into a colander.
- 3
Use a potato masher (if you don't have one, use a strainer) to mash the potatoes and garlic together.
- 4
While still piping hot, add the butter. Then add the slightly warmed milk and heavy cream in several turns and stir it in quickly to combine completely.
- 5
Adjust the taste with salt. Lastly, stir in the chives and it's all done.
