Steps
- 1
Put potatoes into a large saucepan and cover with hot ( not boiling) water.
- 2
Wash, peel and cut potatoes in half.
- 3
Add a dash of salt to the water. Cook on a medium heat and they should be ready after about 15-20 minutes after they start to boil. ( To check if they are done stick a knife through one and they should be completely soft)
- 4
Drain the water off the potatoes. Mash until there are no lumps left in the potatoes
- 5
Mash in the tablespoon of butter to potatoes. Mix the milk into the potatoes with a wooden spoon. Add the pepper and mix it all together.
- 6
Scoop with a potatoe scooper ( or ice-cream scooper) and serve :) :)
