Demi-glace sauce and tomato juice always go well together.

The ratio of the red wine, tomato juice, and water is 1:1:1.

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 400 gramsThinly sliced beef
  2. 1 canDemi-glace sauce
  3. 1Onion
  4. 1Carrot
  5. 2Potatoes
  6. 200 gramsRed wine
  7. 200 gramsTomato juice
  8. 200 mlWater
  9. 1Salt, pepper
  10. 1Butter
  11. 1Parmesan cheese (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the carrot and onion into bite-size pieces. Stir-fry with butter.

  2. 2

    Add the tomato juice, water, and demi-glace sauce to Step 1, and simmer for 20 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, in a pot or different frying pan.

    Stir-fry the beef, and add the red wine. Simmer until the amount of red wine is reduced by half.

  4. 4

    Combine Step 2 and Step 3, add the potatoes, then simmer for about 20 more minutes over low heat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, and it's done.
