Microwaved Sakura Mochi with Koshi-an

Sakura mochi is pretty easy to make.
But it is pretty difficult to get the salted sakura leaves.
The sakura mochi will be filled with anko, so the mochi is slightly sweetened.
Taste one salted sakura leaf, and if it is too salty, lightly soak the leave in water to remove excess salt. Recipe by Inukaiminto

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put water, sugar, salt, red food coloring in a heatproof bowl and dissolve. Make sure to add just a small amount of the red food coloring. I used about 3 scoops with a toothpick.
- 2
Add the domyojiko to Step 1 and mix. Cover with plastic wrap and heat in a 600 W microwave for 2 minutes.
- 3
Take Step 3 out of the microwave, mix, wrap it again with a plastic wrap and heat for another 3 minutes. Then let it sit in the microwave for 10 minutes to steam.
- 4
Divide the anko into 10 portions in advance, and roll into balls.
- 5
Divide the mochi into 10 portions and wrap in a plastic wrap. I divided them each into about 40 g portions this time.
- 6
Roll out the mochi into a disk on the plastic wrap, place one portion of anko and form it into a ball shape.
- 7
Wrap a sakura leaf around it, and cover with plastic wrap to avoid drying out.
- 8
After making all 10 pieces, they are ready~ Leave them to cool, and then enjoy.

Spring Sakura Mochi in the Microwave Spring Sakura Mochi in the Microwave
I made some salted sakura blossoms, so I made some sakura mochi. They came out beautifully and were delicious, and I was completely satisfied with how they turned out. Right after making these, I made 2 more batches to give as gifts. My friends were so happy. If serving the next day, place the somewhat hardened mochi into the microwave for 20-30 seconds. If there is too much excess moisture from the store bought koshi-an, cook it in a frying pan to evaporate the moisture. Then cover with a little bit of katakuriko. Or you can wait until it hardens a little, which will make it easier to form the shapes. If you want to be able to see the sakura blossoms even more, fold the sakura into the mochi first, and then spread out the mochi one more time. Easy Sakura Mochi (Cherry Blossom Rice Cake) from Cooked Rice Easy Sakura Mochi (Cherry Blossom Rice Cake) from Cooked Rice
I have learned how to make sakura mochi, but I didn't have rice flour, domyoji flour, or a cherry blossom leaf...I wanted to make a sakura mochi easily, so I came up with this recipe.-A little amount of the red food colouring is enough to turn the rice pink, so don't add too much. If you add too much, the rice turns red.-A pinch of salt gives the rice a salty kick, and it will taste like the authentic sakura mochi. If you don't have the salted cherry blossom leaf, add little more salt in the rice to adjust the taste. I taste the mixture at the Step 3, and adjust the taste to my liking. Sakura-mochi with Chunky Sweetened Adzuki Bean Paste Sakura-mochi with Chunky Sweetened Adzuki Bean Paste
Usually, you fill sakura-mochi with koshi-an. But as I refer tsubu-an, I filled the mochi with it.The food coloring is quite strong so use a tiny amount. The sweetened dough is very sticky so you need to moisten your hands to put a portion onto the plastic wrap and wrap the bean paste in it. The resultant look will be better. If the bean paste is too runny, boil away the excess moisture first. Otherwise it will be very sticky when you try to shape it. Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking. Recipe by Happy sarubobo cookpad.japan -
Authentic Kanto-Style Sakura Mochi - Just Mix and Cook Authentic Kanto-Style Sakura Mochi - Just Mix and Cook
I've tried many different variations of this and finally settled on one I like. The cooked dough dries out really easily, so be sure to cover it with cling wrap or a dish towel (once it hardens, it's very hard to wrap). A Teflon crepe pan is the best for cooking the dough. The pickled sakura leaves are very salty, so be sure to soak them for a while. For 15. Recipe by Smuchi cookpad.japan
