This was an accidental recipe that I have made now several times and each time I find it amazing! I prefer my red beans spicy and use more Cajun spice than some care for. Season it according to taste and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Red beans are probably my favorite bean. I love to cook them and put them over rice, but this time, I killed two birds with one stone.

My family like rice/ beans and his souce made them to love it more.

This is a simple and easy recipe for ghee rice. When i was studying abroad this flavoured rice is something i always cook every weekend and it goes well with any gravy. It’s so quick and easy. You can easily cook this with rice cooker or even a pressure cooker.

I don't like using rice cookers. My grandmother taught me how to cook rice when I was a child and I still use this same technique as an adult. It works every single time.

I came up with this because I wanted to make a bean rice dish with a twist. I was really satisfied with the result. It's easy to make and it looks really nice.-This time, I used chickpeas, pinto beans, red kidney beans and edamame.-Use canned beans if you don't have much time.-Substitute half the amount of water you cook the rice in with the water left over from boiling the beans. Note: this is what happens when there’s not many “rice” eaters in the fam. Most of the beans and sausage is eaten and mostly bean juice and rice is left over. That’s when the juice and rice is mixed together for another dish. #GlobalApron 2024

Every since I was a kid it was rice and beans so here's something good and quick!

Red Beans and rice is a Cajun dish that used to be cooked on wash day. It's a meal you put on and slow cook for hours that way you can take care of the laundry! These days it is still a major part of Cajun cuisine. When money is tight I cook this using just 2 lbs of Manda sausage instead of using andoullie & Sausage. It's a good bargain but still flavorful sausage. The family can eat this for a few days served differently.You can easily half this recipe to cook only one pound of beans. I have a large family and what's left over I will use to make chilli.
