Crispy and Fluffy Homemade Naan Made with All-Purpose Flour

Since I often cook Indian-style curry at home, I wanted to make naan to go with it. I've tried making it several times with my husband and it's become a favorite of ours.
This fluffy naan is risen with dry yeast and baking powder. Recipe by Kuminchan
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add the dry yeast and honey to the lukewarm water, and leave for 10 minutes.
- 2
Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- 3
Pour in the yeast mixture, and hand mix. When everything is blend, add the olive oil.
- 4
Knead until the dough is smooth, and cover with plastic wrap. Allow the dough to rise in a double boiler until it becomes 1.5 times its original size.

Gently knead, and divide into 4 portions with a knife.
- 6
Roll the dough out thin with your hands or a rolling pin, and pan-fry both sides in a non-stick frying pan (no need for oil.)
- 7
I added 1 tablespoon of dry parsley.

Easy Homemade Naan Bread With Cake Flour Easy Homemade Naan Bread With Cake Flour
Naan bread is really the perfect accompaniment to Indian curry. This is not like making risen bread, so you don't have to strictly adhere to the rising and resting times. Just knead, form and cook! That's it!The dough is only rested so that it's easier to stretch out.You can do steps 1 through 3 in a bread machine. Recipe by Rizzy cookpad.japan -
Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast
I generally make naan with dry yeast, but this time, I made it with the last bit of my homemade yeast. These are easy to make since they don't need a second proving. There's no need for them to rise much, so you can make them with a small amount of yeast. Since the dough has little moisture, like bagel dough, it's a bit difficult to knead. For those who like soft naan, add more water. Recipe by kazz72 cookpad.japan -
Easy & Authentic Naan Bread Easy & Authentic Naan Bread
I wanted to make freshly cooked naan at home, so I cam up with this recipe. Please be sure to bake the naan on the at a high temperature. It will be nicely browned, as delicious as authentic Indian naan is. For the all purpose flour, use Lys d'Or or a flour that is specifically meant for French-style bread. If you can't get all purpose flour, use half each of cake and bread flours.I added baking powder to the recipe to improve it. If you don't have any though, you can just omit it. Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan
I wanted to make naan that not only went well with curry, but could be enjoyed for breakfast if any were left over. Since they can be cooked in a frying pan and will puff up nicely, they might be easier than regular rolls or loaves of bread!Since the dough continues to rise with residual heat after it's microwaved, put it in a warm place if possible. The dough will puff up when it's cooked.Since I added yogurt to the dough, it has a lightly tart, but easy-to-eat flavor. If you use milk only it will have a gentle creamy flavor. I recommend that too. For 4 pieces. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -

I've uploaded a recipe for keema curry to COOKPAD. I've always bought naan bread from a store to eat with keema curry, but recently, I wanted to try making my own naan. So, I adapted a pizza crust recipe I use often (I'll upload the recipe soon) to make this. This matches perfectly with, Keema Curry. If you make the curry while the naan bread dough is rising, it's efficient. If you wrap up the naan in plastic wrap and microwave it for 20 seconds to warm it up, it will be puffy and delicious. Basic Naan Basic Naan
There are a variety of ways to make naan - with baking powder or baking soda, adding eggs, etc. but I settled on this simple combination of ingredients using instant dried yeast. Since naan is made to eat with curry, there's not much need to season it. Since they're so plain, pretty much anyone will like these.Since there is no second proving, these can be made relatively quickly. There's no need for oil when baking. I recommend using a non-stick frying pan. Recipe by Yukiline cookpad.japan -
Delicious Naan Bread Delicious Naan Bread
Naan made only with bread flour tends to be tough, and only with cake flour only is not chewy enough, so I wanted to make a personalized version. This is the absolutely best naan I've ever made! Eat with keema curry. If the dough sticks to your hands, dust with a little bread flour when forming the dough. When putting the dough in the frying pan, roll it out a bit while cooking. If you use a generous amount of olive oil, the naan will stay tender and delicious even after time!
