Sake-steamed Clams and Cabbage

I came up with a sake-steamed dish made with spring ingredients!

Make sure you de-sand the clams well! You can buy clams already de-sanded, but surprisingly they are not entirely sand-free.

The cabbage is nice if you stir-fry it until it is slightly browned! Recipe by Candy_flo

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 200 gramsManila clams
  2. 1/8Cabbage
  3. 1 cloveGarlic
  4. 2 tbspSake
  5. 1 tbspOlive oil
  6. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  7. 1sprig Fresh parsley

Cooking Instructions

    Finely chop the garlic and parsley. Roughly chop the cabbage. De-sand the clams and wash them well, while rubbing the shells together.

    Put the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan and set the heat to medium. When fragrant, add the cabbage and stir-fry.

    When the cabbage has wilted, add the clams and sake, and put the lid on. Steam until the clams have opened, then season with salt and pepper.

    Sprinkle on some parsley to finish.
