For Bento: Eggs Folded in Ham

I wanted to make an easy yet filling recipe to include in bentos.
-The ham will get strained if there's too much oil, so use oil modestly.
-If you work quickly once the ham is in the frying pan, it will turn out nicely (fold the ham when the egg is soft-set).
-2 hams to 1 large egg. 1 ham is plenty if the egg is small. Recipe by Derarosa

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine all the ◯ ingredients.
- 2
Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat. Spread evenly with a kitchen towel. Place on a damp cloth for 2 seconds and grill the ham over low to medium heat.
- 3
Pour the beaten eggs on top of the ham. Gather the eggs that ran off on top of the ham (work fast here) and try to layer them over.
- 4
Fold over and press lightly with a spatula. Turn over and cook some more to finish.
- 5
Wait until it's slightly cooled and cut in half to get a nice cross-section. They're the perfect size for bento!
- 6
Because the ham is slightly salty, I recommend you to use salt modestly. Sometimes I don't even use salt depending on the kind of ham I use.

This is one of the colorful garnishes I made.I vary these ham roses by adding cheese or nori seaweed. Flavor the omelette anyway you prefer. The main photo shows an early version of this recipe where I cooked the ham, but the recipe itself describes an easier method where the ham is not cooked.Choose bright pink, thinly sliced ham to make the prettiest roses.Put any extra bits of egg in the middle of the roses. Don't roll up the roses too tightly for the best looking results. If you add 1/2 teaspoon of katakuriko potato starch flour + 1/2 tablespoon of water to the beaten egg, the thin omelette will come out very nicely. Meat-Wrapped Soft-Boiled Eggs for Bentos Meat-Wrapped Soft-Boiled Eggs for Bentos
I thought that meat-wrapped eggs might be as good as meat wrapped onigiri, so I gave them a try. They were really good! They were great in a bento! (Only use very fresh eggs.)If you don't flour the eggs twice at Steps 2 and 4, the meat will come off them.I recommend using large pieces of thinly sliced beef such as sukiyaki beef. If you have small pieces, try squeezing them tightly on the eggs as if you are making onigiri (rice balls) to make them stick. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Ponie cookpad.japan -
