Japanese Turnip and Bacon Soup

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
I had lots of Japanese turnips, so I made a soup.
Adding the butter to finish is the key. Recipe by ruruchirin
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel the Japanese turnips, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Slice the green leaves into small rounds (your preferred amount). Chop the bacon into 2 cm strips.
- 2
Pour the water into a pot and turn on the heat. Add Japanese turnip, bacon, and consomme. Simmer until the turnips become soft.
- 3
Add the greens of the turnips and butter, and simmer for another 3 ~ 4 minutes. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Serve in a bowl, and it's done.

Japanese-style Chinese Cabbage, Bacon and Soy Milk Soup Japanese-style Chinese Cabbage, Bacon and Soy Milk Soup
I made this soup because I love soy milk, and I had leftover Chinese cabbage. It's also delicious if you use wiener sausage instead of bacon. If you like, it's tasty with grated ginger added too!Stir-fry the Chinese cabbage and enoki mushrooms well and they will become creamy and mild. After adding the soy milk, adjust the flavor by gradually adding a little salt or soy sauce (or mentsuyu). I strongly recommend sprinkling the green onions and pepper at the end, because the soup will taste even better! Add ginger to taste. Recipe by Yuripi0309 cookpad.japan -

Lentils and Bacon Soup Lentils and Bacon Soup
The recipe isn't difficult or time-consuming and I prepare this whenever I'm hungry.I posted this because the crispy texture of pan-fried bacon goes very well with the soup.Lentil soup is common in India, but adding bacon was my own idea.・I recommend to thicken the soup. The consistency should be when the soup easily slips off the spoon. Adjust in Step 8 with water.・As the spices are mild, it can be enjoyed by anyone.・A healthy soup with lots of lentils and a little oil. Recipe by Plabar cookpad.japan -

Kabocha Squash and Bacon in Buttery Milk Soup Kabocha Squash and Bacon in Buttery Milk Soup
Vegetables are expensive! I bought affordable kabocha squash again, but my sons were tired of it, so I tried to use it up in a way that my daughter, who has just started on solid foods, could eat.Don't allow it to boil at all. The salt content in the miso will differ depending on your brand, so start with 1/2 teaspoon and add more if you like. Adults can crack over pepper on top to finish, adding a nice touch. For serving 2. Recipe by Necchan cookpad.japan -
Kabocha Squash and Bacon Simmered In Soup Kabocha Squash and Bacon Simmered In Soup
I love sweet simmered squash myself... But my son doesn't like it.So I tried simmering it in soup, and it was a success. The cooking time varies depending on the variety of kabocha squash and how it's cut. It took me 7 to 8 minutes until it was tender this time, plus another 3 minutes to reduce the liquid in the pan. If you don't want to add oil, leave it out. Just cook the kabocha squash in the fat that comes out of the bacon! Recipe by Nanagukun cookpad.japan -
